Stars in Broadview is inspired by Toronto's role as a host city for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. From one of my favorite viewpoints in the city, Broadview Avenue, I imagine the participating nations as stars illuminating Toronto with their hopes, dreams, cultures, and aspirations.

The painting captures the contrast between day and night during the spring season, reflecting the dualities that shape both sport and life: victory and defeat, light and shadow, celebration and reflection. Influenced by the Seven Universal Laws, the work explores the idea that all events and experiences are connected within a greater cosmic order.

Through this symbolic landscape, Stars in Broadview celebrates Toronto as a meeting place of cultures and reminds us that, whether we win or lose, we are all part of the same human constellation.
