Artist Profile

​

I paint fractals as a constructive technique because I believe that through observation, we can discover invisible forms and patterns that connect us to everything in the universe—a silent language shared by all living things.

 

I grew up on a farm, surrounded by animals and nature. Observing their behaviour sparked my curiosity and led me to draw scenes from my everyday life. As a teenager, my family moved to Bogotá, where I encountered a busy and complex world filled with new experiences. There, I developed a deeper interest in art, architecture, and literature. I became a student at the Museum of Modern Art of Bogotá, beginning an ongoing search for ways to understand and express the world through art.

 

Colombia's political situation eventually led me to immigrate to Canada. For more than a decade, I put my artistic practice on hold while I focused on building a new life and pursuing my ambitions in a new country.

 

During those years, my relationship with art continued to evolve through other disciplines. I studied Canadian culture, 3D modelling, drafting, and graphic design, and worked in a design studio in downtown Toronto. These experiences expanded the way I see structure, space, colour, and visual communication.

 

Today, I have the privilege of working from my own studio while being a stay-at-home parent. I have returned to art with a renewed sense of purpose, continuing to develop my style, technique, and palette. My work is a form of storytelling—an exploration of how I understand the world through observation, and how seemingly complex forms can reveal an underlying sense of connection and unity.
